They had been trying to have a quiet conversation with Sherwood Post at Uncle Mike’s, and Marsilia’s intrusion is most assuredly not welcome. When Vampire Queen Marsilia appears in the fireplace, dressed like a goth witch and with smoke swirling around her like some monster in a B movie, Adam and Mercy aren’t pleased. My review will not just contain oodles of spoilers for the previous books but may well sound like gibberish to those unfamiliar with this fictional universe. There’s some really intensive world-building here, and the stories should only be read in order.
