Maybe I felt like I didn’t understand the characters enough? I don’t know but it felt off to me. I love insta-love but for some reason, I didn’t buy this. But as soon as they gave in to the physicality of a relationship, they were in love already.

Sure, they had spent a few weeks hanging out then gave in to their feelings. I was a bit frustrated at how quickly their relationship progressed. Yep, after a few weeks together he wants her to drop her life and join his. Ugh!! So, he has to convince her to leave her life behind, face her debilitating stage fright, and join him and the band on tour. Once they started singing together I was hooked. However, at about 20%, things started to pick up and I was more engaged. Killian and Libby just seemed static to me. Killian and Libby start to spend a great deal of time together and bond over their mutual love of music. Killian is a rock star on a ‘sabbatical’ and Liberty is a woman whose parents died and she is trying to make the best of a difficult situation. I normally do not like rock star romances I find the rock stars annoying and narcissistic. I am so in love with her sports romances. So, I should say up front, I will read just about anything Callihan writes. Because, with Libby, everything has changed. I’ve got to find away to coax the hermit from her shell and keep her with me. The world is clamoring for me to get back on stage, but I’m not willing to leave her. When I get my hands on her, she is scorching hot and more addictive than all the fans who’ve screamed my name. She’s grouchy, a recluse-and kind of cute. It all fell apart with one fateful decision.

How do you keep an idol when everyone is intent on taking him away?Īs lead singer for the biggest rock band in the world, I lived a life of dreams. Problem is, the world thinks he’s theirs. Sexy, charming, and just a little bit dirty, he’s slowly wearing me down, making me crave more. With the face of a god and the arrogance to match, the pest won’t leave. I found Killian drunk and sprawled out on my lawn like some lost prince. Also by this author: The Hook Up, The Friend Zone, Managed, The Hot Shot, Dear Enemy, Make It Sweet
